Description
Le Vieux Lavoir is the second estate of the Roudil Jouffret family, who have been making wine in the region for six generations. Domaine le Vieux Lavoir is named for the old wash house in Tavel, pictured above. It was the inspiration for the architecture of the state of the art winery and cellar built on the estate in 2002.
Between this estate, and their other vineyards at Le Vieux Moulin, they produce a range of wines from Tavel, Lirac, Côtes du Rhône, Vin de pays du Gard, and Vin de pays d’Oc, made in a masterly manner from Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, old Carignan and other local indigenous varietals.
